Oakey Waste Management Facility

This facility accepts:

• green waste
• general non-hazardous waste
• commercial waste
• gas bottles up to 9kg that are empty, limited to two, from domestic sources only
• paper and cardboard
• plastic containers, aluminium cans, steel cans, aerosol cans and cartons
• glass bottles and containers
• scrap metal and white goods
• engineered stone products as general waste
• tyres that are 260mm width or less, a maximum of four tyres per visit, from domestic and commercial sources - fees apply
• motor oil from household sources only, to a maximum 29L per visit - no cooking oil, transmission oil or hydraulic fluids
• car and truck batteries, deep cycle batteries, lead-acid batteries and non-alkaline batteries

The following items are not accepted at this facility:

• solid regulated waste
• asbestos or asbestos-containing materials
• dead animals
• special burial, e.g. confidential documents
• clean fill
• concrete, asphalt, rocks, builder's rubble
• chemicals
• paint, thinners and solvents
• liquids
• ammunition, detonators, flares or explosives.
