Toowoomba Water app

The Toowoomba Water app provides water usage data fed from the smart water meter installed on your property. The app also allows you to monitor for water leaks and set water usage daily targets.

Residents can only use the Toowoomba Water app after a smart water meter has been installed on the relevant property. Read about the Smart Water Meter Project.

Toowoomba Water app set up

  1. Download the app or open the browser link above.
  2. Select your profile type – owner occupier, renter, landlord.
  3. Create the account by entering required details, shown on the screen.
  4. Enter your smart water meter number. This can be found on the flyer you received after the smart meter was installed, otherwise also found on the smart water meter itself. The meter number should always start with the letters 'TRC'.

If you own more than one property, you’ll need two types of accounts to view water usage:

  1. An owner/occupier account for your main property.
  2. A landlord account with a different email address to manage and view usage for your other properties.

Track your household’s water usage You can use the Toowoomba Water app to track your water usage - daily, weekly or monthly. This also allows you to compare your usage to similar households and get helpful tips on how to use less water. It’s a smart way to save money and protect our water supply.

Set notifications to get leak alerts You can choose to receive unusual water flow notifications by email, SMS, or directly through the app helping you catch leaks early and avoid unexpected water bills.

Set daily targets After the app has collected thirty days of usage data, giving you a clear picture of your water habits. You can then set up daily water usage targets to help reduce waste and save money.
