Community Development Officers

Toowoomba Regional Council has five Regional Community Development Officers (CDOs) who deliver high‑level community engagement and capacity‑building to communities, organisations and individuals across the Toowoomba Region. The CDOs support TRC’s functional areas to communicate information relevant to the delivery of Council programs and initiatives.

CDOs collaborate with the community to strengthen ongoing development, support and implementation of a variety of community programs and activities in their region (place-based programming). These include community events, capacity building and community group governance. Regional CDOs also support disaster preparedness, resilience and recovery activities at a local level.
