Using Development.i

Depending on the related date and type of application, you can use Development.i to find information about development applications (DAs). Development.i allows you to track the progress of an application, stay up to date with decisions made and comment on current applications.

Find out below which applications are available for viewing in Development.i.

Applications in Development.i

On Development.i, you can find and track DAs that were decided on or after: 

  • 1 January 2007, for Toowoomba City only
  • 17 March 2008, for the entire Toowoomba Regional Council area.

Once lodged with us, these planning application types can be viewed in Development.i:

  • Material Change of Use
  • Reconfiguring a Lot
  • Operational Work
  • Operational Work (Signage)
  • Exemption Certificate
  • Planning Scheme Work
  • Superseded Planning Scheme requests

Using Development.i

You can search for development applications using either the property location or the application number.

  1. Visit Development.i
  2. If you know the address, start typing it into the 'Location search' field. Select the address from the list. Or you can select 'Application search' and enter the application number, if you know it.
  3. The search results will appear. Select 'Details' on the location or application number.
  4. The development assessment details will appear. Click 'Application documents' under 'More details'. A new tab will open with the relevant documents.

We update application details each work day. We update related documents every night.

Applications not in Development.i

These applications are not in Development.i:

  • building permits/documents
  • plumbing permits/documents
  • concurrence agency responses
  • siting discretion / boundary relaxation.

To request a copy of one of these applications, please email us:

  • the application number, if you have it
  • the property address
  • which development or building the approval relates to.

We'll contact you to let you know if the development application is available, and if so, the related fee.
