Using Development.i

Find information on development applications (DAs) on Development.i.

Development.i is our online portal to find and comment on current DAs. You can also find older DAs for properties through the system.

Find and track DAs

On Development.i, you can find and track DAs that were decided on after: 

  • 1 January 2007, for Toowoomba City only
  • 17 March 2008, for the entire Toowoomba Regional Council area.

A DA does not include applications for building work or plumbing work.

How to use Development.i to find a DA

You can search for DAs using either the property location or the application number.

  1. Visit Development.i
  2. If you know the address, start typing it into the Location search' field. Select the address from the list. Or you can select "Application search" and enter the application number, if you know it.
  3. The search results will appear. Select "Details" on the location or application number.
  4. The DA details will appear. Click "Application documents" under "More details". A new tab will open with the relevant documents.

We update application details each work day. We update related documents every night.

Request a DA not on Development.i

To request a copy of a DA that's not on Development.i, email us on development@tr.qld.gov.au with:

  • the application number, if you have it
  • the property address
  • which development or building the approval relates to.

We'll contact you to let you know:

  • if the DA is available
  • the fee – which may be more if the DA is only in hardcopy.

Development.i is only for past and current DA information.
