Discount or waiver of Council Development Application fees

In some cases, we may agree to reduce or waive fees for eligible organisations. 

Discounts and waivers can be up to 100%, or a maximum of $10,000, per application.

Eligible organisations

We may agree to discount or waive fees for:

• community or welfare-based non-profit organisations
• charitable organisations
• sporting or recreation organisations
• emergency services.

Religious institutions and religious schools are not eligible for discounts or waivers under this policy.

Eligible fees included under this policy

Types of eligible development application fees include planning applications such as:

• Material Change of Use (MCU) applications
• Reconfiguring a Lot (RAL) applications
• Building Works Assessable Against the Planning Scheme (PSW) applications
• exemption certificates.

Other eligible application fees such as:

• operational works
• plumbing applications
• siting discretions
• building applications we assess.
