Nominating road frontage

If you're carrying out construction, you may be eligible to apply for a nomination of road frontage. This identifies the major street on a corner block for construction purposes.

This is subject to:

Nomination of road frontage is not a siting discretion. This means we have no power to approve a variation to the rules.

You may still need approval if you're building closer than the prescribed setbacks.

Applying for a nomination of road frontage

Apply online

  1. Complete the online application.
  2. Provide a full set of plans. Including site, floor and elevations.
  3. Pay the applicable fee.

  1. Complete the application(PDF, 3MB).
  2. Email the completed application and a full set of plans, including site, floor and elevations to development@tr.qld.gov.au.
  3. You will be requested to pay the applicable fee.

Apply in person

  1. Apply at your local Customer Service Centre.
  2. Provide a full set of plans. Including site, floor and elevations.
  3.  Pay the applicable fee.

Assessing your application

The Development Control Team will assess your application.

They will issue formal advice on the outcome of the application.
