The masterplan identifies opportunities to create new trails, upgrade existing trails and develop the supporting infrastructure needed to sustain mountain biking into the future.
At an Ordinary Meeting of Council in 2024, it was resolved to further investigate the potential use of Prince Henry Drive Park for mountain bike trails as part of the broader project. Council will also seek external funding to support the future construction of additional trails in Jubilee Park.
Planning is currently underway for Stage 1 of the project, which focuses on delivering additional trails within Jubilee Park.
Balancing recreational use with environmental protection remains a key priority. Environmental and cultural heritage values will continue to be assessed as the project progresses.
All future works will be subject to available funding and Council and community priorities.
