Margaret Lloyd Environment Park protects a beautiful patch of tall open forest, showcasing the natural landscape that once covered much of the Great Dividing Range in the Hampton area. Sitting right on top of the Range, the park plays an important role in two major river catchments, the Brisbane River and the Murray Darling system.
The park is named in honour of Margaret Lloyd, a much‑loved local pioneer who was dedicated to caring for the environment and preserving the area’s natural heritage. Her commitment to conservation continues to inspire the community today.
