Rosalie Gallery’s textile exhibition explores adventure, growth

The Darling Downs Textile Art Group is presenting a study in white for its exhibition, The White Rabbit: A Journey into the Unknown, that will be on display at Goombungee’s Rosalie Gallery from March 11 to April 19, 2026.
The White Rabbit: A Journey into the Unknown, is an exhibition of white textiles that explore subjects of adventure, growth and curiosity through each artist’s narratives.
For this exhibition, artists from the Darling Downs Textile Art Group have extended their diverse practices to create works that reflect both contemporary viewpoints and traditional perspectives on journey, responsiveness, and progression.
By using a variety of techniques and only a white colour palette, each artist brings a unique voice to their work, collectively contributing to the exhibition’s rich tapestry of ideas.
Rosalie Gallery’s natural lighting is used to accentuate the textures and forms of the works, illustrating how changes in light and shadow can influence perception.
Through the display of different mediums, the artists invite viewers to contemplate their own experiences and engage thoughtfully with the pieces on show.
The exhibiting artists are Suzanne Bauer, Christina Brosnan, Jenny Burgess, Margie Creek, Amanda Digweed, Jo Eagle, Hilary Fogerty, Noelle Hodges, Sue Jurd, Gillian Knott, Sue-Ann McGowan, Kaz Rynne, Elizabeth Schmidt, Jan Scudamore, Iet van Vonderen.
The exhibition’s Artist Talk will be held on Saturday, March 14 at 11am.
