Crows Nest Gallery exhibition, Remnants, will explore how history continues to shape the environmental and cultural landscape of Australia.

The exhibition by Rachel Favelle and Erica Eurell invites audiences to examine the tension between inherited European traditions and the untamed beauty of the land from September 2 to October 4, 2026,

It also calls on viewers to reflect on how human choices alter landscapes, identities and connection to place.

Grounded in historical research and shaped by personal reflections on English and Aboriginal heritage, the exhibition also features collaborative works that bring multiple perspectives into the space and an acknowledgement of layered history.

Remnants invites visitors to consider questions of belonging, responsibility and care for Country.

It encourages thoughtful conversation about how introduced values and species have reshaped our environment, and how respectful collaboration and deeper listening might guide how we respond today.

The exhibition’s Meet the Artists event will be held from noon to 2pm on Sunday, September 13, 2026.
