Bus it Free! set to bloom for Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers
Published on 24 August 2026
Getting around this year's Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers will be easier than ever, with Bus it Free! services helping visitors and locals make the most of Australia's premier floral event.
For the duration of Carnival, from 18 September to 5 October, people can hop on board a free Park-to-Park Shuttle connecting Queens Park, Grand Central and Laurel Bank Park.
Free buses will also connect regional townships to the Carnival atmosphere for the Grand Central Floral Parade on Saturday 19 September while FEASTival attendees will be looked after with services on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 September.
Toowoomba Regional Council Tourism portfolio spokesperson Cr James O'Shea said the Bus it Free! to Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers initiative was another way Council was making the event more accessible, enjoyable and convenient for everyone.
"Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers is all about getting out, exploring our beautiful Region and creating unforgettable memories with family and friends," Cr O'Shea said.
"These free shuttle services make it easier than ever for visitors and residents to experience everything Carnival has to offer, from our world-class park displays and the Grand Central Floral Parade through to the incredible FEASTival weekend."
Bus it Free! Park-to-Park Shuttle
The Park-to-Park Shuttle is designed to encourage visitors to spend more time discovering the city's stunning floral attractions, with a convenient hop-on, hop-off service operating throughout the Carnival period.
Running daily from 9am to 4pm, the service will operate hourly Monday to Thursday and every 30 minutes from Friday to Sunday, making it simple for visitors to explore the Carnival's most iconic floral displays without the hassle of parking or navigating busy streets.
The shuttle will connect Queens Park, Grand Central and Laurel Bank Park.
Bus it Free! to Grand Central Floral Parade
Regional residents can also leave the car at home and enjoy the Grand Central Floral Parade thanks to free Floral Parade Shuttle services on Saturday, 19 September. Dedicated buses will operate from Crows Nest, Clifton, Pittsworth and Oakey, with a range of pick-up points along each route into the Toowoomba CBD. There are limited seats making bookings essential for this service.
"The Carnival belongs to our entire Region and we want to make it as easy as possible for people from our regional communities to come in and be part of the excitement," Cr O'Shea said.
"The Grand Central Floral Parade is one of the highlights of the Carnival calendar and these free buses provide a fantastic opportunity for residents from across our Region to join in the celebration."
Bus it Free! to FEASTival
Carnival food lovers will also benefit from a brand-new FEASTival Shuttle Bus service operating on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 September.
The free service will transport FEASTival attendees to and from the event via three routes servicing Highfields via Mt Lofty, Kearneys Spring via Centenary Heights and Rangeville via Picnic Point, helping patrons enjoy the festivities without transport hassles.
"FEASTtival has become one of the standout events of the Carnival and we're excited to introduce a dedicated shuttle service this year," Cr O'Shea said.
"Whether you're coming to admire the flowers, cheer on the Grand Central Floral Parade or enjoy the incredible food, wine and entertainment on offer at FEASTival, these services will help you spend less time worrying about transport and more time enjoying the Carnival experience."
