1. This notice may be cited as Toowoomba Regional Council (Making of Local Law) Website Notice (No. 1) 2026.
Commencement
2. This notice commences on the date it is published on the website of Toowoomba Regional Council.
Making of local law
3. Toowoomba Regional Council (the “Council”) has, by resolution dated the 27th day of October 2026, made Parking (Amendment Subordinate Local Law (No. 1) 2026.
Local law amended
4. Parking (Amendment) Subordinate Local Law (No. 1) 2026 amends Subordinate Local Law No. 5 (Parking) 2011.
Authorising local law
5. Local Law No. 5 (Parking) 2011 authorises the making of Parking (Amendment) Subordinate Local Law (No. 1) 2026.
Purpose and general effect
6. The purpose and general effect of Parking (Amendment) Subordinate Local Law (No. 1) 2026 is to—
(a) identify a part of the local government area of Council as a traffic area; and
(b) identify areas which are declared to be an off-street regulated parking area; and
(c) prescribe infringement notice penalty amounts for certain minor traffic offences.
Consolidated version of local law
7. Council has, by resolution dated the 27th day of October 2026, adopted a consolidated version of Subordinate Local Law No. 5 (Parking) 2011.

8. Copies of each of Parking (Amendment) Subordinate Local Law (No. 1) 2026, and the consolidated version of Subordinate Local Law No. 5 (Parking) 2011 may be—
(a) viewed by the public on the website of the Department of Local Government.
