Leopard Ash Bushland Park

This small bushland park area (0.5 ha) is named for the striking Leopard Ash trees (Flindersia collina), a species that naturally occurs only within Queensland and New South Wales dry rainforests and semi‑evergreen vine thickets (SEVTs). These ecosystems were once widespread across Highfields, Kleinton, and much of Queensland.

Today, Leopard Ash Park supports 58 identified species of trees, shrubs, vines, and herbaceous plants, along with a diverse range of wildlife. A walking track runs north–south through the reserve, offering visitors the chance to observe birdlife, butterflies, and the unique native flora found in this special habitat.
