The Pittsworth Airfield is officially classified an Aircraft Landing Area (ALA). It is owned and operated by Council, who is responsible for the upkeep of the grounds, regulatory management and maintenance. The unrated airstrip is 880 m long and 18 m wide, with the central 8 m sealed. The airstrip is maintained to a standard suitable for aviation activity. However, intended users are encouraged to inspect the runway prior to both departure and arrival.
