Wagners Composite Fibre Technologies is a globally recognised manufacturer based near Toowoomba that has grown from a local innovation to an international leader in advanced composite materials. Using a unique fibre‑reinforced polymer manufacturing process developed in Australia, the company produces durable, corrosion‑resistant structural products for bridges, utility networks and infrastructure projects both here and overseas. They were behind the world‑first composite bridge installations, exports to markets including the USA, New Zealand and the Middle East, and continues to expand through ongoing investment in research, innovation and export capability, contributing to local employment and economic growth.
Qantas Group Pilot Academy
The Qantas Group Pilot Academy at Wellcamp Airport is a leading centre for pilot training in Australia, capable of training up to 250 pilots a year. Stahmann Farms is a growing, innovative local company providing products that meet the needs of the growing Asian middle class. In 2020, Stahmann Farms and Webster Limited became Stahmann Webster. Oakey Beef Exports
Established in 1956, Oakey Beef Exports in Queensland’s Darling Downs region is one of Australia’s largest beef processing plants, a strong example of an international company realising the benefits of investing in the Toowoomba region for the long term. It is a division of NH Foods Australia, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the NH Foods Group, a publicly listed Japanese company and a leader in the global delivery of a wide variety of foods including fresh meats, ham, sausages, processed foods, seafood, dairy products and health foods.

Australian technology company taps into global success
Russell Mineral Equipment (RME) has been exporting its minerals processing products and services to the world for more than 30 years. Thanks to Australia’s Free Trade Agreements with China, Japan, Korea and Peru, the company is now looking to expand its international presence. Located in Toowoomba, Queensland, RME is recognised as a leading designer, manufacturer, supplier, servicer and operator of minerals processing equipment.
World of weddings at Toowoomba’s Gabbinbar Homestead
An historic Toowoomba venue has become a surprise international wedding destination, attracting couples from all over the world and boosting the local economy. Gabbinbar Homestead owner Isaac Moody said the business originally targeted local couples, but the charms of the 1863 homestead quickly attracted much wider attention.
