Toowoomba Regional Council (TRC) is advising some library facilities across the Region will close on Monday 2 June, 2025 to allow staff to attend a professional development day.

The Toowoomba City, Highfields, Crows Nest and Oakey libraries will close Monday 2 June and resume normal operating hours from Tuesday 3 June.

TRC Library and Cultural Services portfolio spokesperson Councillor Melissa Taylor said the library return chutes, online renewals and other resources would remain available during the planned closure.

“Renewals can be made at any time. Login to the library catalogue  or download the Toowoomba Region Libraries app to renew your items,” said Cr Taylor.

“While we’re closed, electronic resources including books, audio books, newspapers, magazines and films are accessible via the eLibrary.”

“If you have any questions, please contact your nearest library location.”

The Highfields Customer Service Centre, located in the Highfields Library building, will also be closed on Monday 2nd June 2025.

Other Customer Service Centres will remain open as per usual and the call centre can be contacted via phone on 131 872 or email -  info@tr.qld.gov.au.
