The ultimate Toowoomba Region Youth Week line-up is here
Published on 24 March 2026
Young people aged 12-25 across the Toowoomba Region are set for an unforgettable Queensland Youth Week in 2026, with Toowoomba Regional Council (TRC) rolling out a packed program of free events designed to inspire creativity, connection and good times.
TRC Community Development and Youth portfolio spokesperson, Councillor James O’Shea, said this year’s line-up reflected Council’s commitment to creating opportunities where young people feel supported, valued and empowered.
“Queensland Youth Week, which runs from Saturday 11 until Sunday 19 April, is all about celebrating the incredible young people in our community,” Cr O’Shea said.
“Council’s Youth Team has worked closely with local groups and partners to deliver a program that’s fun, inclusive and full of chances to learn something new, meet new people and make memories. It’s your week, your people, your moments.
“In particular, the Glow Parties and the Sunset Social are programs that have been designed, planned and delivered by our Toowoomba Regional Youth Leaders with TRC’s Youth Teams’ support and guidance. In other words, these are great events by young people for young people,” he said.
Frame It! Photography Workshops – 7 & 9 April
Young creatives can sharpen their photography skills, experiment with new techniques and capture moments that matter. Selected works will be showcased in a public exhibition at the Rosalie Art Gallery.
Glow Parties – 8 & 10 April
Glow gear, huge beats, free food and good friends. These high‑energy lock‑in events for high school students will light up Pittsworth Town Hall and Highfields Cultural Centre.
ParkVibe – 13–17 April
Parks across the region will come alive as the Youth Connect team partners with community groups to bring music, Laser Tag, Archery Attack, outdoor art workshops and a free BBQ to Cecil Plains, Yarraman, Crows Nest, Cambooya and Clifton.
Dungeons & Dragons Day – 11 April
Hosted by the Toowoomba Dungeons & Dragons Club at the Empire Church Theatre, this full‑day fantasy adventure includes learn‑to‑play sessions, mini figure painting and fantasy crafts for ages 12–25.
Sunset Social – 11 April
A chilled evening of beats, picnic rugs, bean bags and golden skies. Sunset Social offers a relaxed space to unwind, connect and soak up the good vibes—come with friends or roll in solo.
Cr O’Shea said the program was intentionally diverse to ensure there was something for everyone.
“Our young people are creative, curious and community‑minded. This year’s Youth Week events reflect that spirit and give them the chance to explore their interests in a safe, welcoming environment,” he said.
