We have made the decision to extend investigation of the site selection component of the Toowoomba Art Museum business case.
As part of the site selection process, the Toowoomba CBD was identified as a potential option for consideration. The CBD is one possible site for the proposed Toowoomba Art Museum and is not the only option being considered.
To provide a balanced assessment in comparison to other possible locations, we need to consider all priorities such as future land use and infrastructure requirements and gain a clearer understanding to enable the preparation of a comprehensive business case.
We acknowledge the work SMA Tourism and stakeholders have completed as part of the development of the business case since October 2024. The work completed to date has laid a strong foundation and provided valuable insights.
