Australasian Parks Week 2026
Celebrate our Region’s parks from 2 - 9 March 2026.
Parks Week highlights the essential role parks play in supporting community wellbeing, connection and quality of life. With over 560 parks and open spaces across the Toowoomba Region, there’s no shortage of places to unwind, get active or try something new.
Whether you’re planning a morning walk, a family picnic, a quiet moment under a shady tree or an outdoor adventure with friends, this is the perfect week to enjoy the outdoors.

Weeds are a natural part of many landscapes, but some, such as madeira vine, are highly invasive and can threaten the health and biodiversity of native bushland. In Redwood Park, regular volunteers have been unable to bring this aggressive vine under control and Friends of Escarpment Parks Toowoomba Inc. are calling on the community for extra support.
Join this hands-on Parks Week conservation effort and help care for one of our region’s most ecologically significant parks.
