Each year, we provide residents with a plant voucher to collect two free plants for their private garden, or to donate it to a community group for their use. The double-side voucher lists collection points and their opening times and is mailed out with the rate notices to every residential/rural address in the Toowoomba Region.
Due to a large number of properties in our Region, we distribute the vouchers in two postal rounds:
If you didn't receive a voucher in the last round of distribution you will be receiving them in the next round. If your voucher didn't arrive with your rate notice please phone 131 872 and a customer service officer will arrange one for you. There is no expiry date on the vouchers.
The vouchers are not available for commercial properties.
A comprehensive selection of native and exotic plants are available to choose from at any given time. When collecting plants you will need to bring your own box or bag as our nurseries do not supply these. A Covid-19 safe plan will be in place at distribution sites.
These free plants are provided to grow inside your property line and are not to be used for footpath plantings (footpath plantings are not permitted).
This grant program is available for not-for-profit organisations operating within the Toowoomba Region. The program provides eligible community groups with plants to improve the landscape amenity and canopy cover of community facilities and spaces. To apply for this program, please use the form under the 'Related document' heading.
