To ask for information about a property:

  • Login to online services
  • Select Request a property search
  • Select the reports or services you’d like to request.
  • Pay the relevant fee.

We’ll send you a confirmation. We may need to get in touch to discuss more details.

You can also use the search service to track your requests.

Fee covers both inspection and report, which includes details of approvals, certificates issued and any unlawful building work on site.
Internal and external building report for Class 2 to 9 buildings - view fee

Fee covers everything in the External building report, plus an internal inspection and check for compliance with building approval.

The urgent timeframe is subject to a building certifier being available.

Does not include an inspection.

Includes details of building and plumbing approvals, if these apply. Also contains information about inspections during construction, certificates issued, and written advice that relates to any notices issued under Schedule 22, Part 1, 1 (i) (ze) of the Planning Regulation 2017 (Qld).

Can be provided either in hard copy or electronically.
Limited Planning & Development Certificate - view fee
 5 Includes the zone or precinct, regulatory map designations, community infrastructure designations and infrastructure charges.
Standard Planning and Development Certificate - view fee
 10 Includes everything in the Limited certificate. It also includes details of current development approvals, court decisions, infrastructure agreements and proposed planning scheme amendments.
Full Planning and Development Certificate and inspection - view fee
 30 Includes all information in the Standard certificate. It also includes details about fulfilment of conditions, prosecutions and bonds or security with an infrastructure agreement.
Compliance check – Conditions of Approval - view fee

Search for approved building plans

Search for approved plans for buildings and structures with the building plan search.

After you submit your request, we’ll:

  • check if we have the plans for the property
  • contact you to let you know if we have the plans and the cost to copy them
  • set up a time for you to visit the Toowoomba Customer Service Centre to view the plans.

You can select not to view the plans in your application.

We’ll send a copy of the plans to you after we receive payment.

Properties built before 1975

We started keeping property records after the introduction of the Building Act 1975 (Qld). If you’re looking for information or plans before this date, they may not be in our records.
