At many of our waste management facilities, we offer recycling opportunities to domestic customers for paint, household chemicals and motor oil. For details on what waste can be taken to your local waste facility, visit our Waste facilities page.

Paintback collection point

The Greater Toowoomba Waste Management Centre is the regional collection point for Paintback, the national product stewardship scheme for architectural and decorative paints. Domestic and commercial customers can drop off up to 100 litres (per vehicle per visit) of architectural and decorative paint products and/or packaging for recycling or responsible disposal. Other types of paint products are not accepted from commercial customers and domestic customers are limited to 20 litres of paint and 5 litres of thinners or solvents per visit.

Disposing of commercial liquid wastes

We are unable to accept hazardous chemicals, oils and other liquid wastes from commercial customers.

Commercial customers are encouraged to seek an alternative recycling option for your waste. Check the internet or white pages for companies that may offer recycling or disposal options for these materials.
