This project continues the replacement of the 28km long prestressed concrete raw water main from the Pechey reservoirs to the Mt Kynoch Water Treatment Plant over several years. The new pipeline will provide increased flow capacity.

Constructed in the 1960s, increasing numbers of pipe joint failures and an unfavourable pipe condition assessment has required action to replace the main to ensure the security of the Toowoomba Bulk Water Supply network.

In 2024/25, $2 million has been allocated to the project.
