We're upgrading numerous parks to service our growing communities to the meet our defined standards in our Open Space Strategy. This strategy provides a framework for protecting, enhancing and managing our open spaces.
The parks mentioned below were identified in the Local Government Infrastructure Plan (LGIP) plan which has been created to ensure we efficiently cater for population and employment growth.
The upgraded local recreation park will consist of:

The district corridor recreation park upgrades preliminarily within JJ Leadbetter Park and Ballin Park will consist of:

In 2013 the Queens Park upgrades commenced in a series of coordinated stages. The Queens Park master plan is planned to be completed by June 2022 and cost $5.6 million as a joint initiative of the Queensland Government.
