Crows Nest gallery
Update Friday, 13 May 2022

Crows Nest Gallery is currently closed due to weather and road conditions. We anticipate reopening the gallery on Wednesday, 18 May 2022.

Crows Nest Gallery was established in 1996 and has become an important part of cultural life in the town. The gallery supports the strong, local artistic community and aims to showcase and nurture local creative talent from across the region. Staffed by a part-time gallery officer and a dedicated team of friendly volunteers, the gallery provides access to a broad range of high-quality exhibitions and arts events for visitors and the local community.

Following the Queensland State Government's vaccination mandate, patrons must be vaccinated to access our facility, unless you have a medical exemption, in which case you will need to provide evidence. As part of the State Government mandate, you'll need to share your vaccination status and check-in when entering the facility.

Please do not visit if in the previous 14 days you have:

  • returned to Australia from overseas (other than a safe travel zone country)
  • been in close contact with an active COVID-19 case
  • been in a declared COVID-19 hotspot, place of concern or exposure venue, as defined by the Chief Health Officer
  • had a fever, cough, sore throat, headache, distorted sense of taste, shortness of breath, chills, vomiting or any cold/flu like symptoms in the last 72 hours.

Your gallery experience may be different from what you are used to, but your safety is our main priority. Before visiting please be aware of the following points:

  • Please consider what you bring with you to the gallery, as cloaking facilities will not be available.
  • Bags or objects over 40cm x 40cm are not permitted in galleries in the Toowoomba Region.
  • Group visits to the Gallery are available on a restricted basis. Bookings are essential.
  • Sales of artworks will not be conducted 'on premises'. Artist details for sales will be available on request.

Safety measures

To ensure the health and well-being of our visitors and our team, we have put in place additional safety measures.

These safety measures include:

  • Sanitiser stations are positioned at entries to each facility. Please sanitize your hands on entry.
  • Additional cleaning of the gallery including high-traffic areas and high-touch items is in place.

Protect our community

Please help us protect our community by:

  • providing accurate contact information so you can be contacted quickly if you are affected
  • complying with current physical distancing guidelines of 1.5 metres
  • washing your hands frequently with soap and water, or use an alcohol-based hand rub
  • cover mouth and nose with flexed elbow or tissue when coughing and sneezing
  • disposing of used tissues in the covered pedal bins provided

Thank you for your continued support for galleries in the Toowoomba Region and for helping to keep everyone in our community safe and well.
