The section of Black Gully from Tor to Holberton Streets is covered with mature trees and is a designated dog off-leash area.

Its pathway has also proven to be a popular track for exercisers. A gazebo is situated on the western side of the park with some picnic facilities found towards the east (image below right). A frisbee golf course has recently been completed in this area.
