Cooyar - Memorial Park

Located on the New England Highway, Cooyar Memorial Park is well-located in the town of Cooyar. The area is fenced and provides a toilet, shaded playground, a picnic table and bins.

This park is named in honour of Anne Monk and Melvyn Barron who lost their lives in the 1988 Cooyar flood. In February of of that year a severe thunderstorm caused significant flooding in the town of Cooyar. Several houses and buildings were washed away.
