Acting General Manager, Planning and Development

Kari is an experienced leader who prioritises collaboration, organisational culture, and customers. She has a proven track record of achieving outstanding organisational and customer-focused results. She is also committed to continual improvement, innovation and efficiencies that respond to evolving business needs.

Kari has extensive planning and development experience in the private sector, as well as roles in local and state government.  She is committed to outcomes that enhance liveability, and foster vibrant, prosperous, and connected communities.

Kari holds a Master’s Degree in Urban and Regional Planning and brings over 30 years of planning experience to her role. She joined Toowoomba Regional Council in November 2023 as the Manager of Planning Branch.

When she’s not at work, you’ll find Kari doing property renovations, cooking up a storm, hiking, or exploring the world on a travel adventure!
