General Manager Water and Waste Services

Jaek Passier has been working in local government since 2004, for the former Toowoomba City Council and remained working in the Water and Wastewater business post amalgamation until 2011 at which time he moved to Cassowary Coast Regional Council taking on the role of Water Services Engineer until 2013. At this time, he returned back to Toowoomba Regional Council taking a position in the Water Infrastructure Services team as a Principal Engineer where he worked until 2022 when he was appointed to the Manager Strategic Water Planning and Capital delivery.

Jaek was appointed to the role of General Manager Water and Waste Services in May 2024 having extensive local knowledge of the networks and strong ties to the local community.

Jaek enjoys being involved in the sport of volleyball and is an internationally accredited indoor volleyball referee. When he is not involved in Volleyball he enjoys spending time supporting his lovely wife Courtney, and her passion for horses and equestrian at their property in Goombungee.
