Guidelines for interacting with Council via social media

Thanks for joining our online community. We love hearing what you’ve been up to and seeing your photos, so make sure to drop us a line and let us know about your #toowoombaregion adventures.

Feel free to also share your feedback, we have a team ready to answer any questions you have or help you out when you need us. If you haven’t had the best experience, our team will do their best to fix things for you.

We’re here to share everything that’s good about the Toowoomba Region and keep you updated on where we’re headed.

We want to provide a welcoming and positive experience for our online community, so we ask that you remain respectful when engaging in open discussion and conveying your point of view to other community members.  

Community comments on our posts are not representative of the views of Toowoomba Regional Council or the page administrators. Due to the large volume of comments received on our posts, comments made on this page may not be seen immediately by the page administrators. If you are affected by or are concerned about a comment left on our page, please report it to the relevant social media platform or send us a direct message, and we will review and address your concern soon as possible.

We’ll always err on the side of letting people have their say but we reserve the right to moderate community comments and will remove or hide comments on our page that:

If your post violates these Community Guidelines, it will be deleted and you may be blocked from our social communities. We’ll also remove any political campaigning, commentary and unrelated comments. Keep in mind that any unlawful online comments may be reported to law enforcement authorities and can result in your civil liability for defamation or criminal prosecution.
