Highfields (north) sewerage infrastructure

Sewer manhole lid

This project (also referred to as the Wirraglen Sewerage Project), is estimated to cost $5 million with $2.93 million allocated in 2017/18. It involves the design and construction of a sewage pump station and pressure main, and gravity trunk sewers. This will provide wastewater infrastructure to support the growth area of Highfields, generally north of the Reis Road trough to Meringandan Road and bound by Kleinton Road and Cronin Road.

The project is part of the Highfields Growth Areas Stimulus Project (estimated to cost $13.04 million) for which we are seeking a funding commitment of $5 million under the State Government's Building Our Regions (Round 3) program.

Subject to completion of investigations and land acquisition activities, an invitation to tender for a design and construct contract is expected to be invited in August 2017.

Target completion date

Design, construction and commissioning of project works are scheduled to be completed by December 2018.
