The planning scheme is the tool used by Council to regulate development to achieve the community’s vision for the region. This review will result in a detailed report that identifies matters that need to be addressed with the planning scheme. It is expected that this will guide future changes via a planning scheme amendment and other related strategy or policy reviews.
Ensuring community input into this process is key to the success of the project so there will be opportunity for input into this review. Register your interest to participate in future consultation via our YourSay website.
There is a requirement to review all planning schemes every 10 years (Planning Act 2016).
