Water restrictions from 18 Sep 2018 - Water restrictions apply to all Council water supply schemes:

Medium level (200 litres/person/day) - Brookstead, Cambooya, Cecil Plains, Clifton, Greenmount, Hodgson Vale (includes Top Camp), Pittsworth, Southbrook, Vale View & Yarraman schemes.

Continuation of permanent conservation measures (200 litres/person/day) - Toowoomba Bulk Water Supply Scheme (Oakey, Jondaryan, Haden, Crows Nest, Highfields, Kingsthorpe, Gowrie Junction, Meringandan, Toowoomba City, Westbrook and Goombungee)

Blackspot road improvements

Intersection of Gostwyck and Helen Street

As part of a blackspot road safety improvements program, we will be making safety improvements at intersections on Gostwych Street/Helen Street and Tara Street/Fitzpatrick Street. To improve safety at these spots current intersection configurations will be changed to roundabouts.

A budget of $570,000 has been allocated to construct the new roundabout at Gotstwych Street/Helen Street intersection and $470,000 to construct the new roundabout at Tara Street/Fitzpatrick Street.

Start date

The design phase has already started. Construction and associated work will commence after July 2018.

Target completion date

June 2019.
