Environment & Community major projects

These projects will be delivered by the Environment & Community group of Council. This group includes Library & cultural, Tourism & events, Parks & recreation, Community development & facilities, Environmental health and Council property.

This project involves the construction of a new central depot facility at Nass Rd, Charlton. It will be a central operations hub for a number of Council’s operational areas, providing a modern, low maintenance, and sustainable workplace to replace existing ageing facilities. Cecil Plains library
Council's ongoing Library maintenance program will ensure that Cecil Plains and Clifton libraries will be receiving attention in 2017/18. At Cecil Plains this will likely include recarpeting, painting & some improvements to the front reception area. A review of the recreational activities at our three regional water supply dams will be finalised this year (2017/18). The study is to investigate the current recreational uses of our three dams – Perserverance, Cressbrook and Cooby dams.
