Toowoomba Community Nursery

A new community nursery is now open in Toowoomba. Due to an increase in demand for native plants, the Crows Nest Community Nursery has expanded into the Toowoomba nursery building on Ramsay Street.

The Toowoomba Community Nursery is run by volunteers who use the facility to propagate local native plants for use in parks around the Toowoomba Region. These plants are essential for the survival and well-being of our native animals.

The nursery can also supply native plants to the public. If interested in a particular plant/s contact the nursery on 4688 6654.

Volunteer members of the nursery meet every Tuesday at the nursery building from 8am and are always looking for new volunteers to join the group.

How to be involved

If you have an interest in gathering native seeds and would like to to use the nursery facilities to grow them, simply come along to a group meeting at 8am every Tuesday. Experience isn't necessary to join; just bring your enthusiasm and willingness to get your hands dirty.
