Toowoomba Community Nursery

Due to an increase in demand for native plants, the Crows Nest Community Nursery has expanded into the Toowoomba Council nursery building on Ramsay Street.

The Toowoomba Community Nursery is run by volunteers who use the facility to propagate local native plants for use in parks around the Toowoomba Region. These plants are essential for the survival and well-being of our native animals.

The nursery can also supply native plants to the public. If interested in a particular plant/s contact us.

Contact details

Nursery staff can be contacted by any of the methods on our 'Contact Council' webpage.

Volunteering opportunities

The nursery welcomes volunteers to join the team. Read more about volunteer opportunities here.

If you have an interest in gathering native seeds and would like to to use the nursery facilities to grow them, simply come along to a group meeting at 8am every Tuesday. Experience isn't necessary to join; just bring your enthusiasm and willingness to get your hands dirty.
