Parking fees to increase from July 2, 2018

Toowoomba Regional Council’s biennial on and off-street parking fee increase will occur from July 2, 2018.

Toowoomba Regional Council’s biennial on and off-street parking fee increase will occur from Monday, July 2, 2018.

All parking fees will increase by 10 cents per hour to a maximum additional charge of 50 cents a day in both on and off-street locations.

The fee increase will help Council with the costs of operating and maintaining Council carparks along with progressively upgrading parking meters to facilitate payment by credit card and future smart parking initiatives.

This parking fee increase is in line with the CPI over the past two years and allows Council to keep pace with the costs for maintenance, upgrading equipment and introducing new payment options.

Council is using emerging technologies such as credit card payment machines, payWay and pay-by-bay technologies to provide the best customer experience available.

The city is growing and Council is planning for ongoing growth and development to make our city more user-friendly and accessible in the future.

Council continues to look at ways to improve parking services to ensure that Toowoomba remains a modern and attractive city for residents and visitors alike.
